Why 433MHz
Bluetooth thermometers quote 100ft and deliver 30ft through a wall. GrillSync uses a 433MHz radio link with a proper antenna, rated at 500ft line of sight. In our test kitchen it held through two interior walls and a closed patio door at 180ft.

Tested it from my kitchen through two walls at about 150ft. Never lost signal during a six-hour brisket. The alarms are loud enough to hear over a range hood. Probes clean up easily.
I was skeptical about a “smart” thermometer. It’s not smart, it’s just accurate and reliable. The presets are actually right — poultry at 165°F came out perfect. No app required, which I love.
Compared side by side in boiling water and in a steak. Within 1°F both times. Build is plastic but solid. The magnetic base sticks to the grill shelf.
Works brilliantly. My only gripe is that the transmitter drains if left with batteries in. Take them out between uses and it’s a five-star product.
Being able to watch a chicken breast and a steak at once means I stopped overcooking the chicken to be safe. The custom presets are easy to set. Dishwasher-safe probes are a big deal.

Range and wall penetration. Bluetooth is convenient but typically drops at 30–60ft indoors. 433MHz holds to 500ft line of sight.
Within ±1°F in the cooking range, which is the same spec as most professional-grade units. The difference at that price is usually build material and logging, not accuracy.
