The frosted acrylic looks like ceramic when it’s off. Colours are soft rather than neon, which is what I wanted. Not bright enough to read by — it’s a mood light, not a lamp.
I expected a gimmick. It’s a slow random flicker, not a loop, and it reads like a real flame in a dark room. Battery lasts about a week of evenings.
It’s a beautiful object and the colour is lovely, but 120 lumens is not much. In a bright room you barely notice it. In a dark bedroom it’s perfect. Depends what you’re buying it for.
The touch ring sometimes registers a tap as a hold, so it jumps to dim. Not a big deal once you learn to tap quickly. Light quality is excellent.
